UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's wrestling team gets set for the New York State Women's Collegiate Tri-Meet on Sunday, January 28 at 3 p.m at the Speidel Gymnasium in Elmira, NY.

Gillian Mills (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) picked up a win, defeating Allydia Byard of Hiram College in the 143lb weight class. The first period went back and forth, but Mills would pull away in the second and third period to get the win by VPOI, 11-10. In the quarter-finals, Mills dropped her match against Kathyrn Vogt-Shields of Sacred Heart University by fall in 6-2. Mills completed the day in the consolation bracket falling to Brooke Dylan of Delaware Valley University by fall, 9-4.

Monster Mills: Gillian Mills (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties), at 143lb looks to take care of business for Utica as she heads into the NYS Collegiate Tri-Meet. Mill's last win came against Alfred State where she defeated Ethe Hemphill by tech fall in 0:44.
About Elmira: The No. 14 Elmira College Soaring Eagles are 7-8 overall. Elmira last competed at the Ursinus Open on January 14 and placed 2nd. Last season, the Soaring Eagles finished off their season, placing 15th out of 37 teams at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships. Zoey Lints is the No. 12 nationally ranked women's wrestler at 143lb followed by Skylah Chakouian at 155lb, ranked No. 12.
