ROCHESTER, NY - The Utica University men's soccer team lost 4-3 in a battle with Nazareth University on Saturday afternoon.

Noah Nassberg (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast),
Gavin Baxter (Ellenville, NY/Ellenville) and
Cody Baker-Green (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) scored one goal each, while Baxter led the team with both a goal and an assist.
Martin Mendoza (Walden, NY/The Mount Academy) tallied two assists and seven players had at least one shot.

Foti Xidias (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) started in the net, making four saves.

Nazareth opened the scoring, collecting the lone goal in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the second.

The second half was a back-and-forth contest as both teams scored three goals. Baker-Green scored his first goal of the season just over 16 minutes to play in the second, tying the match at one. Nazareth would score again just under a minute later, taking a 2-1 advantage with 32 minutes to play. The Pioneers scored two consecutive goals from Nassberg and Baxter, but it wasn't enough to put the Golden Flyers away as they scored two more goals to close out the second half.
