UTICA, NY - The Utica University men's soccer team drew with the SUNY Poly Wildcats, 0-0, on Wednesday evening.

Evan Smith (Baldwinsville, NY/Barker) led Utica with two shots, both on goal. Smith's two shots tied his season-high.
Ellis Urgent (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central),
Brady Barnard (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool),
Cody Baker-Green (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) and Gaving Baxter each had one shot on goal.

Foti Xidias (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) looked sharp in the net for the Pioneers. He made six saves, one in the first half and five in the second.

About two minutes into the match, Smith let off a shot that nearly went in the cage, but Poly goaltender Ryan Primus was all over it. That was Primus's first of six saves on the evening, making two in the first and four in the second. At the 25-minute mark, Utica had a solid scoring chance, but Smith's shot couldn't find the net, keeping it a 0-0 game heading into the second half.

The second half consisted of 11 shots, seven credited to Poly and four to Utica. Both defenses played solid not allowing many entries on either side. The Wildcats and Pioneers would end in a 0-0 draw.
