UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's tennis team is set for two matches this week. The team will take on the Russell Sage College Gators on Wednesday, October 9 at 3:30 at the Utica Tennis Courts before traveling to Brockport to take on the Brockport Golden Eagles on Saturday, October 12 in its final match of the season at noon.

Victoria Elefante (Clinton, NY/Clinton) each won at least one game of their sets in singles play against St. John Fisher. In doubles play, the duos of Elefante/
Jackie Roberts (Herkimer, NY/Notre Dame) and
Zoe Gravina (Albany, NY/Albany)/
Hannah Slater (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) each won two games of their sets, while the first doubles duo of Ott/Tiedemann won one game.
Scouting Sage: The Russell Sage College Gators are currently 4-6 on the season so far and 4-2 in conference play, with that the Gators have clinched an Empire 8 Conference Tournament berth. In singles play, Tirzah Spivey has led the way for the Gators, going undefeated in second singles at 10-0. In first singles, Marian Aguirre has also gone undefeated at 9-0. In doubles play, the duo of Aguirre/Oliva Monaco have gone 9-1 in second doubles, and the duo of Spivey/Emma Nuzzi have gone 7-3. Last season's matchup between Utica and Sage was a highly contested win for the Pioneers, with Utica taking it by a score of 5-4.
About Brockport: The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles are currently 2-6 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. Oliva Raschiatore was selected to the All-SUNYAC second team in doubles last season and finished with an 8-4 record. This is the first time the Pioneers will meet the Golden Eagles on the court as SUNY Brockport is an Empire 8 Conference newcomer this season.
