WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Utica University completed their afternoon at the Williams College Quad-Meet on Saturday afternoon. The team faced Roger Williams University, SUNY Cortland and Williams College.

The team had a hard-fought battle against Roger Williams University, falling 37-18. Three wrestlers picked up wins:
Xavier DeJesus (Hornell, NY/Canisteo-Greenwood),
Trevor Cortright (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) and
Hunter Morton (Hillsdale, NJ/Pascack Hills). DeJesus (125lb) won by forfeit, giving the Pioneers their first six points. Cortright (133lb) followed that up with a win by fall in 1:49 against Marceo Eramo. Morton (157lb) had a dominant performance against Gordan Murray, winning 19-2.Â

Cortright picked up the team's only win against Williams College. He was able to wear out his opponent, Jack Napeloni, winning 5-0 by decision. Cortright was suffocating during his match, not allowing Napeloni to move an inch.

No member picked up a win against SUNY Cortland.

Utica heads to Oneonta, NY, for the New York State Collegiate Championships. The event will take place on Saturday, November 23, at 9 a.m., hosted by SUNY Oneonta.
