ROCHESTER, NY - 10 members of the Utica University women's indoor track & field team earned Empire 8 All-Conference honors. The 10 athletes captured a total of 16 separate all-conference honors highlighted by the Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Year,
Jane Fahy (Oriskany, NY/MVCC/Oriskany).

Fahy was also first team shot put with a distance of 14.20m at the Empire 8 Championships that were held from February 23-24 in Rochester, NY. Her mark also set an Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field Championship meet record.

Nora Devitt (Beverly, MA/Beverly) earned first team all-conference for both long jump and triple jump. Her long jump distance was 5.56m and her triple jump was 11.45m.
Arianna McClendon (/New York Mills) earned first team all-conference in the 400m with a time of 59.73.
Hannah Allison (Herkimer, NY/Herkimer) received first team all-conference in the high jump with a 1.57m leap. The team of

Janaiya Cruz-Bermudez (East Hartford, CT/East Hartford),
Abriana Wadley (Utica, NY/Proctor) and
Arianna McClendon (/New York Mills) earned first team all-conference honors in the 4x400m relay, setting a meet record with a time of 4:00.12.

Stefania Grimaldi (Poland, NY/Poland Central) earned second team all-conference in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.67. Mix earned second team all-conference in the 200m with a 26.14 and in the 400m with a 1:00.25.
Allie Cary (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) earned second-team all-conference in shot put with a 12.91m toss.

Grimaldi earned third-team all-conference in the pentathlon with 2,815 points.Â

Jade Dening (Remsen, NY/Remsen) was Utica's recipient of the Sportswoman of the Year honor. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2024 Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field Sportswoman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.
