CORTLAND, NY - The Utica University women's track and field team competed at the Cortland CNY College Challenge on Tuesday, April 23.

The highlight of the afternoon was
Riley King's (Oswego, NY/Oswego) school record breaking hammer throw. King's now school record mark of 47.41m placed her fourth in the meet, and now second in Empire 8 conference standings. King also had a personal best throw in shot put of 10.89m to place fifth in the meet.Â

Hailey Hrouda (Wappingers Falls, NY/Royce Ketcham) also competed in two throwing events in the afternoon. Hrouda took first place in the discus throw with a personal best mark of 36.13m and took seventh in hammer throw (39.73m).Â

The team will now turn their focus to the RPI Capital District Classic in Troy, NY on Friday, April 26 starting at 1 p.m. This will be Utica's last regular season meet before the Empire 8 Championships.
