UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's tennis team remains home this week to take on Nazareth University in an Empire 8 Conference matchup. Start time from the Utica Tennis Courts is set for 3:30pm. 
 
Last Time Out: In second doubles, the duo of Ott/Tiedemann was a bright spot for the Pioneers as they would win four games of their set. In sixth doubles, Jackie Roberts (Herkimer, NY/Notre Dame) shined in her highly contested outing, only falling by two games in each set 6-4, 6-4.  Utica, (0-3, 0-2 Empire 8) will be back in action at home on Friday, September 20. Game time from the Utica Tennis Courts is slated for 3:30p.m.
 
Tiede-Wave: Lyndsey Tiedemann (Salt Point, NY/Franklin D Roosevelt) came out on top with her doubles partner Callie Ott (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy). This pioneer duo would grab the four games of their set.
 
Roberts: The doubles duo Jackie Roberts (Herkimer, NY/Notre Dame) and Victoria Elefante (Clinton, NY/Clinton) have also been one of the shining players in their own right. The pair only fell by two games in each of their sets; 6-4, 6-4.

Scouting Naz: The Golden Flyers women's tennis team is currently 1-1 overall with no conference play yet. Last season, the Flyers were 4-2 in conference play and 5-9 overall. The last match of the 2023 season against Utica, they won 8-1. The Golden Flyers have Mckenna Ellis and Caterine Zak with Victoria Cioni and Anna Spencer as their top doubles teams. Those four as well as Sarah Stone have also been on fire in singles play as well.
