PROVIDENCE, RI - The Utica University women's gymnastics team finished in second place at the Rhode Island College Tri Meet, hosted by Rhode Island College on Saturday evening. The team combined for a total of 185.325 points. Rhode Island College won the meet with a score of 190.100 and Gustavus Adolphus College took third with a score of 184.100.
In the all-around,
Emmy Graff (Boulder, CO/Connections) took second place with a score of 37.550. On vault, Graff scored 9.475. In the uneven bars, Graff took second place overall with a score of 9.500. On the balance beam, Graff landed a score of 8.950. In the floor exercise, Graff landed herself a score of 9.625.
Grace Marra (St. James, NY/Smithtown East) placed fourth in the all-around with a score of 36.925. In the vault, Marra scored 9.525, while in the uneven bars scored 8.700. On the balance beam, Marra got a score of 8.900. In the floor exercise, Marra posted an impressive 9.800 to take the top spot in the event.
The Pioneers had several top 15 finishes in each event. In the vault,
Madison Villani (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) tied for ninth place with a score of 9.450, while
Jenna DiPalo (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) finished tied for 12th place with a score of 9.400. In the uneven bars,
Alyssa Langston (Pearland, TX/Pearland) put together a third-place finish with a score of 9.425.
Kaitlyn Vaz (Salem, OR/Baker Early College) posted a 9.200 on her way to a seventh-place finish, while Ainsley Pickard took home 10th with a score of 9.050. On the balance beam, Pinckard finished tied for fourth place with a score of 9.550 and
Haley Miller (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) finished with a score of 9.350. Langston also put together a solid performance on the beam with a score of 9.350, while
Abigail Walters (Lake Grove, NY/The Stony Brook School) scored 9.250. Rounding out the scorecard for the Pioneers on beam was DiPalo who took home 12th place with a score of 9.150. On the floor,
Julia Pecora (Drums, PA/Hazleton Area) took home 13th place with a score of 9.400.
Utica is set to host its second home meet in program history on Sunday, January 26 on Miga Court inside the Clark Athletic Center. Start time is set for 1pm.
