UTICA, NY - The UCHC has announced its weekly awards for play from the previous week. The Pioneers won both of their games against Hilbert College by scores of 8-0 and 6-0. Freshman center Samantha Dobrzynski (Garnet Valley, PA/) scored four points across the two games, earning recognition from the UCHC as their Rookie of the Week. Dobrzynski and the rest of the Pioneers will now look ahead to back-to-back contests with Elmira College.

Dobrzynski has emerged as an important Pioneer, already earning significant time with Utica's top line in her young collegiate career. She added to her resume, scoring her first four points of her career over the team's two-game home series against Hilbert College. In game one, Dobrzynski both scored and assisted on a goal before turning in two assists in game two. Her +5 tied for the team lead among forwards, and she won 15 of 21 faceoff draws.

Next on the schedule for the Pioneers is a home-and-home series against Elmira College. Elmira will host game one on Friday, November 21st, with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 pm at the Murray Athletic Center in Horseheads, NY. The following day, teams will come back to Utica for a 3:00 pm matchup.
