UTICA, NY - Utica University's women's wrestling team is set to travel to New Jersey tomorrow to compete in its first meets of the season. New Jersey City University (NJCU) will host Utica, as well as Alvernia and Frostburg State Universities, for a quad-meet. The event will be held at John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center, with action set to begin at 2:00 pm.

Mat Schedule: The event will be hosted across two mats, with NJCU competing on mat one in each round. Utica will take on the host squad to open the day, before jumping to mat two for their final two rounds. The Pioneers will take on Frostburg State second, finishing their day with Alvernia in the final round.
Early Season Starts: Utica opened its 2025-26 campaign with back-to-back tournament appearances. The Pioneers were led at the Ithaca Invite by third-place finishers
Jackie Mace (Montour Falls, NY/Odessa-Montour) and
Hannah Kusmierczak (Rome, NY/Holland Patent), who combined for three wins and two pins to open the year. Utica followed with a tough test at the Wilkes Women's Open, where six Pioneers competed against a 33-team field. Kusmierczak added her second tournament win of the season with a technical fall at 145, while
Dakoda House (Oneonta, NY/Cherry Valley Springfield) earned a fall in an all-Utica matchup at 124.
Up Next: The team returns to action two weekends from now on Sunday, December 7th. Utica will travel to Allentown, Pennsylvania, to compete in the Muhlenberg College Novice Tournament. Competition is set to begin at 10:00 am at the John Deitrich Field House.
