Amber Piersma (Cassville, NY/Mount Markham) has been honored as a United Soccer Coaches Women's Scholar Third Team All-East Region selection, grabbing an accolade that encompasses on-field excellence and off-field integrity.
Piersma, a standout on the field and in the classroom, adds another award to her growing collection that includes 2025 honors such as United Soccer Coaches All-Region III Third Team, All-Empire 8 First Team, and a CSC Academic All-District distinction. Her portfolio of accolades showcases her abilities in all areas of collegiate athletics, as the Cassville native has been a true leader on and off the field during her time with the Pioneers.
Piersma led the Pioneers back to the postseason this past campaign, leading the conference with 11 goals en route to a top-half finish and postseason berth. She also tacked on two assists to finish with 24 points. In her two seasons since transferring from Mohawk Valley Community College, Piersma has netted 18 goals and grabbed three assists, accruing the seventh-most points per game in school history (1.05) and fifth-most goals per game in school history (0.49). The star striker's 2025 campaign also saw her produce the fourth-most points (24), fourth-most goals (11), and fifth-most game-winning goals (3) in single-season program history.
Piersma will graduate from Utica with one of the greatest two-year resumes to date, dominating on offense throughout all 37 of her career games played for the Pioneers.
