Amber Piersma (Cassville, NY/Mount Markham) of the Utica University women's soccer team has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region III Third Team
Amber Piersma (Cassville, NY/Mount Markham) has received her first All-Region selection after being named to the third team. Starting in all 19 games for the Pioneers this season, Piersma delivered a dynamic attacking season, finishing with 11 goals and 24 points, while averaging 1.26 points per match, firmly placing herself among the conference's top scoring threats. She paired that finishing ability with outstanding efficiency, converting 26.2% of her shots and putting 57.1% of all attempts on frame across the year. A high-volume creator within Utica's attack, Piersma generated 42 total shots, averaging 2.21 per match, and produced seven multi-point performances, including three multi-goal outings that consistently shifted momentum in Utica's favor. Her impact was decisive as well, netting three game-winners and providing the offensive spark that powered the Pioneers throughout the fall.
With the 2025 campaign now complete, the Pioneers shift their attention to building on this season's progress as preparations begin for the 2026 slate.
