Damien Call (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) and Kaci Ryder (Shrewsbury, MA/Shrewsburg (Lady Flames)) have been selected as the Pioneer Athletes of the Week for the week of February 10th, 2025.

Call was the backbone of the Pioneer offense this week, with his 36 points pushing him past the 1000 career point milestone. Across two games, Call shot 58 percent from the floor, 50 percent from beyond the arc, and was 6-8 in his attempts from the free throw line. Call was able to bring in 15 total rebounds, dished out six assists, and tallied both a block and a steal. Against Hartwick, Call was good for 18 points on 57 percent shooting from the floor and was a perfect 2-2 on his attempts from the free throw line. Call managed to bring in five rebounds, dished out five assists, and recorded a block and a steal in the contest. Against Sage, Call was good for another 18 points on 60 percent shooting from the floor, and was a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc. Call was able to haul in 10 rebounds, nine being defensive in the contest as well.

Ryder got it done against Nazareth once again, showing out to help the Pioneers take down their fierce rival in a 2-1 thriller at Nexus Center on Friday night. Ryder led fellow teammate Ally Nolan (Westford, MA/Chatham University (NCAA DIII)) toward goal with an excellent backhand find to grab an assist on the game's first goal. Then later in the matchup, the Massachusetts native hurt the Golden Flyers on the back post once again, cleaning up a rebound to notch what would ultimately be the game winning goal in similar fashion to how she defeated Nazareth in overtime earlier in the season. Ryder finished with a solid two-point weekend, also owning Friday's game winner to notch her status as the Pioneers' standout skater in their rivalry weekend.
