UTICA, NY - The No. 13 Utica University women's hockey team travels to Purchase, NY for a pair of games against Manhattanville University on February 14 and 15. Friday is set for a 7 p.m. puck drop followed by a 4:30 p.m. start on Saturday. Both games will be played at the Playland Ice Casino.

Last Time Out: The Pioneers fell 1-0 to Nazareth on February 8. The Pioneers and Golden Flyers had 23 shots each.
Callie McLaughlin (Centerport, NY/New Hampton School) and
Autumn Mish (Long Lake, NY/University of New Hampshire (NCAA DI)) led Utica with a combined seven shots, four for McLaughlin and three for Mish.

Brick Wall: Angela Hawthorne (Santa Clara, CA/Meijer) collected herself a sixth UCHC Goalie of the Week honors on Monday. She enters this weekend with a 1.20 goals against average and a .956 save percentage, both top-16 in Division III. Her composure and overall tenacity is what makes her the dominant netminder she is. Hawthorne records a career .950 save percentage and a 1.16 goals-against average. In her 96 career games, the most goals she allowed in one game was four and that was once on March 6, 2021 against Elmira.

About the Valiants: Manhattanville is 6-23-2 overall and 4-4-0 in UCHC play. The team is coming off two wins against Chatham University where they combined for 11 goals in the two games (8-1, 3-0). Ali Joly leads the team with 10 points off four goals and six assists. In the two games against Chatham, she compiled two assists and one goal. Danika Aubin leads the Valiants with seven assists, she notched four assists in two games combined against Chatam and UMASS-Boston. Taylor Willoughby and Harper Weisbeck led the team against Chatham last weekend with four points each, Weisbeck (two goals and two assists) and Willoughby (one goal and three assists). Olivia Cimorelli and Elsa Haakonsen both saw time against Utica in their last meeting two weeks ago. Cimorelli sports a .season 914 save percentage and a 3.34 goals-against average in 15 games. Haakonsen has a .918 save percentage and a 2.40 goals-against average in four games played.

Looking Ahead: Utica hosts Chatham University for their final regular season games on Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22. Friday's game is set for 3 p.m. at the ADK Bank Center (free admission) and Saturday's game is a 2 p.m. puck drop at the Utica University Nexus Center.
