UTICA, NY - The Indoor women's track & field team wrapped up day one at the E8 Indoor Championships, hosted by Utica.
Isabella Frick (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow) started the championships with a personal record in the pentathlon 60m hurdles, running a 9.65 and
Stefania Grimaldi (Poland, NY/Poland Central) ran a 9.99.
The distance medley team (DMR) of
Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro),
Lilly Messler (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville),
Madalyn Haaf (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) and Marlo Towsend finished second running a 12:52.13.
Nyasisa Marsh placed seventh and qualified for the AARTFC regionals with her 8.01 60m dash.
The long jump saw Marsh take seventh (5.27m) and
Nora Devitt (Beverly, MA/Beverly) placed ninth (5.16m).
Amber Piersma (Cassville, NY/Mount Markham) and
Cassondra Wood (Canasota, NY/Canasota) both marked a personal record in the pole vault. Piersma and Wood both had a 3.02m leap.
