UTICA, NY - Men's lacrosse picked up a 14-9 win against SUNY Canton as the team honored former Head Coach, Mike Parnell. 11 of the 14 goals scored by Utica were assisted.

Baker) scored four goals on four shots on goal and Noah Erickson (Auburn, NY/Auburn) scored three goals. Nolan Shea (Williston, VT/Champlain Valley Union) notched one goal and two assists followed by Logan Waterman (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) and Lucas Donahue's (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) one goal and an assist each.

Considine, Hollenbeck and Donahue all have a point in five out of the last six games played.

All three goalies saw time in-net for Utica. Patrick Oswald (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park) started and picked up his second win of the season while also making five saves. Jake Bowen (Williston, VT/Champlain Valley Union) played nine minutes and made three saves. Owen Mix (Henrietta, NY/Rush Henrietta) finished the game with two saves.

Utica controlled the pace of play in the first half, scoring 11 goals compared to Canton's four. The Pioneer defense didn't let up any easy shots, forcing Canton's players down the ally and into poor shooting angles.

Canton scored five goals in the second half compared to the Pioneer's three as Utica would take a 14-9 victory on Mike Parnell Day.

Utica (2-4, 0-0 Empire 8) heads to SUNY Morrisville on Wednesday, March 26. Opening faceoff is slated for 4 p.m.
