ITHACA, NY - The Utica University women's track and field team completed day one of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships in Ithaca on Friday, with a variety of invitees competing in a plethora of events.

In the women's distance medley, the group of
Marlo Townsend (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy),
Lilly Messler (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville),
Madalyn Haaf (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey), and
Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) achieved a season-high time of 12:51.49. The best showing of the season for the quartet allowed them to achieve a 14th place finish among a stacked field of the best competition in the entire northeast.

Nyasia Marsh (Westmoreland, NY/Westmoreland) had a competitive outing in the first round of the women's 60m, notching an 8.12. The Pioneer speedster fell within milliseconds of a top-half performance among the 31 racers, with the 17th ranked runner logging a 7.99. Marsh also registered as a multi-event athlete for the team in Friday's action, with the sophomore also logging a 5.06 in the long jump.
