Four Pioneers finished in double scoring figures led by Vanessa Hall (Independence, NY/Whitesville Central) with 24 points (7-15 FG, 2-3 3pt, 8-8 FT), followed by McKenzie Simmons (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) with 18 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3pt, 3-4 FT), Natalie Cornell (Greenwood, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg) (13 pts, 5-13 FG, 3-4 FT), and Carly Atty (Tribes Hill, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) (12pts, 5-8 FG, 2-4 3pt). Simmons managed her second consecutive double double with a team leading 11 rebounds, while Cornell hauled in eight and Atty seven. Defensively, Simmons led the way with a pair of steals, while Atty, Hall, and Emma Simmons (Unadilla, NY/Sidney Central) each nabbed one.

Star Power: Vanessa Hall (Independence, NY/Whitesville Central) became the 15th player in Utica women's basketball program history to eclipse the 1,000 career points milestone against Russell Sage, becoming the fastest player in program history to do so, in just 57 career games. Across the Pioneers' three game week, Hall managed 19 points per game while shooting efficiently from all three levels. The junior forward totaled 57 points, connecting on .457 percent of her shots from the field, .500 percent from beyond the arc, and an impressive .909 percent at the free-throw line. In addition to her scoring production, Hall contributed across the stat sheet, adding seven rebounds, four assists, and three combined steals and blocks. McKenzie Simmons (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) posted back-to-back double-doubles for the Pioneers last week in two out of three games. Against Houghton, Simmons managed 10 points while shooting .333 from three point range, with a team leading 10 rebounds and a pair of blocks to go along with it. On the week, Simmons posted 13.7 points per game while connecting on .350 percent of her attempts from the field, and averaged eight rebounds per game.

Scouting Hartwick: The Hartwick College Hawks have posted a 4-8 record on the season and are 1-2 in conference play. The Hawks have managed to combine for over 57 points per game, but have been outscored by opponents by just under six points per game. Three Hawks are averaging double figures in scoring in Macy Durkin who is the team leader at 12.1 points per game, Ryleigh Endres averages 11 points per game, and Emma Cohen rounds out the scoring threats at 10.1 points per game. Endres serves as the team's most consistent perimeter threat, shooting .385 from three. Overall, Hartwick shoots .348 from the field and .245 from beyond the arc. The Hawks are strong on the glass, averaging 39.3 rebounds per game with a +2.2 rebounding margin, led by Durkin who averages 11.6 rebounds per game, and Jess Bowens (6.2 rpg). However, ball security has been a challenge, as Hartwick commits 23.3 turnovers per game, resulting in a –3.8 turnover margin. Defensively, they are aggressive in passing lanes, averaging 10.1 steals per contest, along with 2.3 blocks per game.

Breaking Down Brockport: SUNY Brockport enters the matchup with a 6–6 overall record and a 2–1 mark in conference play. The Golden Eagles average 72.8 points per game, one of the higher outputs in the league, while allowing 73.4 which is the most points allowed to opponents in the conference. Brockport is outrebounded by 10.3 boards per game, a key area opponents have exploited despite the Golden Eagles' ability to generate extra possessions via turnovers. In conference play, Brockport has been strong offensively, posting 72.7 points per game with a +7.0 scoring margin, highlighted by back-to-back wins over Elmira and St. John Fisher.

A Look at Geneseo: SUNY Geneseo enters the matchup as one of the league's most complete teams, holding a 9–3 overall record and a perfect 3–0 mark in conference play. The Knights are unbeaten on the road (4–0) and own a +10.3 scoring margin, averaging 66.8 points per game while limiting opponents to 56.6. Defensively, Geneseo is physical, ranking among the league leaders in rebounding at 43.0 boards per game with a +9.8 rebounding margin. They protect the paint with 3.1 blocks per game, and do not generate high steal totals, but compensates for that by controlling tempo, averaging just 13.8 turnovers per game.
