CORTLAND, NY - The Utica University gymnastics team finished in sixth place at the 2026 Empire State Collegiate Championships, hosted by Cortland on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers combined for a total score of 188.500 to take sixth place. Utica's best outing of the afternoon was in the floor exercise, where the Pioneers combined for a team score of 48.625. On vault, the Pioneers managed a 47.025. On beam Utica combined for a total of 46.625, while combining for a total of 46.225 on bars.
In the vault, Alisya Dorman (Killingworth, CT/Haddam Killingworth) managed the highest score from a Pioneer with a 9.525. Grace Marra (St. James, NY/Smithtown East) followed with a 9.500, while Jenna DiPalo (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) posted a 9.425. Rounding out the scorecard for the Pioneers was Madison Villani (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) who posted a 9.400 and Haley Miller (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) with a 9.175.
The Pioneers bars rotation was paced by Camille Londley, who recorded a team high 9.625, followed by Alyssa Langston (Pearland, TX/Pearland) with a 9.450. Christina Troche (Manalapan, NJ/Saint John Vianney) managed a 9,150, while Marra and Dorman rounded out the scorecard with a 9.050 and an 8.950, respectively.
On beam, Miller led the Pioneers with a 9.550, followed by DiPalo with a 9.475. Dorman posted the next highest score with a 9.400, while Marra put together a 9.150 scoring effort. Villani rounded out the rotation with a 9.050 in the event.
In the floor exercise, the Pioneers put together their best outing of the afternoon, led by Marra who posted a team high 9.850 with her routine. Dorman and Emily Plone (Hudson, OH/Hudson) managed the next highest scoring routines, each posting a 9.750, while Addison Ferri came in with a 9.700. Troche rounded out the rotation with a 9.575 in the event.
Dorman and Marra were two of three athletes that competed in the all-around, with Dorman taking second with a combined score of 37.625, and Marra taking third with a 37.550.
Utica returns to action on Saturday, February 21 as the team travels back to Cortland to take on the Cortland Quad. Start time is set for 1pm.
