CORTLAND, NY - The Utica University gymnastics team competed at the Cortland quad meet on Saturday afternoon inside Park Center Gymnasium, posting a final team score of 186.200.
The Pioneers opened the afternoon on floor exercise, combining for a team score of 46.900. Utica then totaled a 47.075 on vault before recording a 45.750 on bars. The meet concluded on beam, where the Pioneers posted a 46.475 to cap the competition.
On vault,
Alisya Dorman (Killingworth, CT/Haddam Killingworth) led the Pioneers with a 9.600.
Madison Villani (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) followed with a 9.425, while
Grace Marra (St. James, NY/Smithtown East) added a 9.400.
Haley Miller (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) and
Jenna DiPalo (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) each contributed matching 9.325s, and
Joscelyn Wabick (Buffalo, NY/Orchard Park) rounded out the rotation with a 9.175.
The bars rotation was highlighted by
Camille Lindley (Herndon, VA/Bishop O'Connell), who recorded a team-best 9.650, taking first place in the event..
Alyssa Langston (Pearland, TX/Pearland) followed with a 9.300, while
Christina Troche (Manalapan, NJ/Saint John Vianney) posted a 9.150.
Grace Marra (St. James, NY/Smithtown East) added a 9.025, and Dorman contributed an 8.625 in the event.
On beam, Dorman paced the Pioneers with a 9.425. Marra followed closely behind with a 9.375, while Miller and Villani each recorded a 9.250.
Alyssa Langston (Pearland, TX/Pearland) added a 9.175, and DiPalo posted an 8.775 to round out the lineup
Utica's strongest individual performances on floor were turned in by
Grace Marra (St. James, NY/Smithtown East), who led the way with a 9.700, and
Alisya Dorman (Killingworth, CT/Haddam Killingworth) with a 9.550.
Emily Plone (Hudson, OH/Hudson) added a 9.500,
Christina Troche (Manalapan, NJ/Saint John Vianney) posted a 9.150,
Emmy Graff (Boulder, CO/Connections) recorded a 9.000, and Addison Ferri contributed an 8.825.
Dorman and Marra both competed in the all-around, with Marra finishing with a combined score of 37.500 and Dorman totaling a 37.200 for the meet
Utica returns to action tomorrow, Sunday, February 22 as the team travels to take on SUNY Brockport in a dual meet. Start time from Brockport, NY is set for 2pm.
