UTICA, NY - The Utica University gymnastics team took third place with a combined team score of 186.550 out of four teams in the Pioneers' final home meet of the season.
The Pioneers opened the afternoon on vault, combining for the team's second highest score of the afternoon, a 47.250. Leading the Pioneers was Alisya Dorman (Killingworth, CT/Haddam Killingworth), who posted a team high 9.575. Grace Marra (St. James, NY/Smithtown East) and Madison Villani (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) each posted a 9.525, while Jenna DiPalo (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) finished with a 9.450. Haley Miller (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) rounded out the scorecard for the Pioneers with a 9.175.
On the uneven bars, the Pioneers combined for a total of 45.700, paced by Camille Lindley's (Herndon, VA/Bishop O'Connell) third top finish of the season, posting a 9.475 to win the event. Christina Troche (Manalapan, NJ/Saint John Vianney) posted the team's second highest score with a 9.175, followed by Claire Reider with a 9.100. Marra and Dorman rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers, each posting an 8.975.
Utica combined for a total of 46.000 on the balance beam, led by Marra's 9.700 in the event, followed by Dorman's 9.650. Miller continued to shine, posting a 9.250. Villani and DiPalo made up the remainder of the Pioneer lineup posting an 8.800 and an 8.600 respectively.
Floor once again proved the strongest for the Pioneers, combining for a 47.600 in the final rotation. Marra continued to lead the way, posting a 9.775, followed by Dorman with a 9.700. Emily Plone (Hudson, OH/Hudson) managed a 9.600 with her efforts. Troche and Addison Ferri rounded out the lineup for the Pioneers with a 9.325 and a 9.200, respectively.
Utica returns to action on Saturday, March 7, as the team travels to the 2026 NCGA East Regional, hosted by Rhode Island College. Start time from Providence, RI is set for 1pm.
