ROCHESTER, NY - Matthew Paolucci (Toronto, Ontario/Silverthorn Collegiate Institute) has continued his stellar rise following his Empire 8 Player of the Week accolade from a few weeks ago, maintaining his stellar form during this past week's RussMatt Invitational as he grabbed his second conference award to start the season, this time being named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week. 

Paolucci was on fire once again for the Pioneers, using his power at the plate to bolster the team's offense during a five-game stretch that saw them achieve a 3-2 record and average 7.2 runs per game. The Pioneer rookie notched some key knocks, grabbing 10 RBI off of just six hits while slugging .500 during the Spring Break slate. 

The Pioneers will make their northern debut this weekend, as the team is slated to take on SUNY Poly on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 22nd over at the newly renovated Murnane Field. Keep an eye on our baseball social media and athletics channels for information about any schedule changes!
