ROCHESTER, NY - After a stellar opening week, Matt Paolucci has announced his arrival to the collegiate baseball ranks, being named the Empire 8 Player of the Week following his first-ever weekend of action in the orange and blue.

Paolucci was massive in his debut series for the Pioneers, stuffing the stat sheet in nearly every offensive category to help the team get out to a 4-0 start to the season. The Toronto native put up insane numbers across the four-game spread, grabbing eight hits and 10 RBI while also displaying power to the tune of two home runs. Paolucci also showcased his small ball skills, drawing three walks and scoring eight runs in the four-game set. The Pioneer sophomore finished with a .667 average and slugged 1.250 in his 12 at bats.
