2014: Choleva played and started 32 games for the Pioneers… In the 32 games, he pitched in 33.1 innings… Allowed just eight walks and recorded an ERA of 6.21… In his final collegiate start, he pitched a no-hitter and struck out four batters as the Pioneers’ topped Keuka 8-0 … Did not allow an earned run on two different occasions in UC’s wins over Me.-Farmington (3/16/14) and at Keuka College (5/6/14)… Had 29 strikeouts on the year, which ranked him second on the team… Had a season-high nine strikeouts at St. John Fisher (4/6/14)… He had 32 hits in 110 at-bats for a .291 average… Recorded 22 RBIs, 21 runs and a .491 slugging percentage… Was first on the team in at-bats (110) and second in slugging percentage (.491)… Had eight multi-hit games… Went on a four game hitting streak on two different occasions… Recorded at least one run in the first six games of the season… Had a season-high three hits on three different occasions… Only went seven games without registering a putout… Caught 65 putouts and had a 1.000 field percentage… Named Empire 8 Conference Pitcher of the Week (3/24/14)… Named Utica College Athlete of the Week (3/17/14). 

2013: Choleva started 32 of the 34 games he played … Went 0-5 in eight games as a starting pitcher … Recorded a 7.42 ERA in 43.2 innings pitched … Struck out 23 batters and gave up 18 walks … Lasted at least five innings in six of his eight starts … Registered a .237 batting average … Tallied 22 hits in 93 at-bats … One of five players with over 20 hits … Had two separate four-game hitting streaks (3/18/2013 to 3/21/2013 and 4/14/2013 to 4/19/2013) … One of four Pioneers to record a triple … Scored 10 runs … His 11 walks and 10 stolen bases each ranked second on the team … Recorded two complete games in eight starts as a pitcher.

2012: Choleva started all 34 games in which he played … Named to the Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team … One of three Pioneers to tally at least 30 hits and one of four to get 100+ at-bats … Recorded 32 hits in 118 at-bats for a .271 average … Ranked second on the team with 22 RBIs and 48 total bases including 13 walks, four doubles, three triples and two home runs … Struck out 17 times and led the Pioneers with 23 runs scored … Went 2-5 with a 4.14 ERA in nine starts and 10 appearances as a pitcher … Threw four complete games and 58.2 innings overall to lead Utica … Allowed the lowest batting average (.274) amongst UC starting pitchers … Allowed no earned runs in back-to-back appearances against Widener and St. John Fisher (3/25/2012, 4/1/2012) … Had at least a three-game hitting streak on three different occasions.


2011: Started in 34 games for the Pioneers, six of which came on the mound … Finished the season second in average (.320) and RBI (16) and was third in hits (31) and runs scored (17) … Led the team in stolen bases with 11 and totaled a team-high three triples … On Apr. 3 against Medaille, Choleva went 5-for-6 on the day with three runs scored while striking out five in 5.2 innings …  On the hill, he pitched 30.1 innings while fanning 20 for a 1-4 record and an ERA of 6.92.
