Junior Hockey: Jide Idowu is one of four freshman defenseman looking to make in impact for the Pioneers this season. Idowu score five goals and set up 18 others for a total of 23 points last season. The highly-skilled defenseman chipped in with two assists during Carleton Place’s deep playoff run. The Canadians finished the regular season with the league’s second best record at 40-19-1-2.
