2016: Started seven games in his 13 pitching appearances … Reached career highs as a Pioneer for innings pitched with 56.2 and total strikeouts over the course of the season with 23 …  His 23 strikeouts this season on the mound was good for second highest total strikeouts on the team … Also set a career high of single game strikeouts with six in his efforts against Bowdoin College (3/15/16) … Recorded his first career win here at Utica College against SUNY Canton (4/24/16) …  Finished with two wins on the season coming in the 9-8 win over SUNY Canton and the 7-3 victory over St. John Fisher College (5/12/16) … Only had two games over the course of the season where he did not record at least one strikeout in his 13 games pitching … He also was rewarded from his work in the postseason being one of two Pioneers chosen to be a part of the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team.

2015: Made eight appearances on the mound during the season and started five of them … Pitched a total of 24.2 innings while tallying ten strikeouts … Helped the Pioneers in a 10-1 victory over Elmira College where in two innings he allowed only one hit, no earned runs and struck out two batters … In his eight appearances, there were only two games where he did not record a strikeout.

2014: Winsman played in four games for the Pioneers...  Pitched 9.0 innings… Allowed no walks on two different occasions… Did not have an earned run and allowed only one hit in Utica’s 16-2 victory against Vassar College (3/17/14)… Allowed just one run and one earned run against Stevens (4/20/14)… Finished the season with a 6.00 ERA… Had one at-bat on two different occasions… Registered one putout against Stevens (4/20/14).   

2013: Winsman appeared in four games as a reliever … Allowed seven hits and one earned run in five innings pitched for a 1.80 ERA … Did not record a decision in any of his appearances … Allowed one hit in two shutout innings against Houghton College (4/20/2013).

Personal: William is a 2014 graduate of Canajoharie High School … He is the son of Roberta and Bill Winsman and is pursuing a degree in Business- Economics.
