Utica University Athletics

2016: Played and started in 33 games for the Utica Pioneers during the season … Finished with 24 hits and 12 runs batted in, including a great performance against McDaniel College with three hits in four at-bats with two runs batted in (3/17/16) … Also did some good work in the field with season totals of 75 putouts and 76 assists to go with his .950 fielding percentage.

2015: Started in 28 games during the course of the season … Contributed with his bat tallying 29 hits in 90 at-bats and finished third on the team with a batting average of .322 … Displayed good patience at the plate getting walked 11 times which was second on the team … Recorded 14 runs batted in and ended up with six doubles …  Ranked fourth on the team with 24 runs scored … Also helped in the field with 24 putouts and 51 assists before the year was over … Started the season scoring at least one run in six of his first seven games … Tallied 11 hits in his final six games of the season …  Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored in the Pioneers’  15-6 win over Hamilton College (5/6/16).

2014: Pexton played and started in 28 games for the Pioneers…Had 35 hits in 106 at-bats for a .330 average… Recorded 11 RBI’s and 21 runs scored… Walked eight times and had 22 strikeouts, which was tied for first on the team… Had 24 putouts and a .859 fielding percentage… Finished second on the team in batting average (.330), on-base percentage (.403) and third in at-bats (106)… Went 5-for-8 in stolen bases… Recorded a career-high 13 game hitting streak midway through the season … Had 12 hits and 11 runs scored in his first four games of the season … Tallied four hits on three different occasions … Recorded nine multi-hit games … Scored at least two runs in a single game on five different occasions … Increased his average from .273 to .330 in the second half of the season … Posted a season-high four hits in five at-bats against Vassar College (3/17/14)…  Had a career-high two stolen bases against SUNY Canton (4/24/14) … Named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week once (4/28/14). 

2013: Pexton started eight of the 14 games in which he played … Had three hits in 17 at-bats for a .176 average … Recorded an RBI and four runs scored … Walked five times and struck out six times … Went 2-for-2 against Houghton College with two runs scored (4/20/2013).

Personal: Adam is a 2012 graduate of Whitesboro High School … He is the son of Raechele and Jeff Pexton and is pursuing a degree in Cyber Security.
