Biography

2016-17: Kirisits registered eight points on two goals and six assists in the 27 games he played this year… He scored his first goal of the season in Utica’s 4-1 win against Lebanon Valley on Nov. 12, 2016… He later netted the Teddy Bear Toss goal in the Pioneers 3-2 overtime victory over Morrisville St. in the 12th annual New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss game (12/17/16)… Kirisits also recorded an assist in his final regular season game against Nazareth (2/17/17).  

2015-2016: Played in all 28 games during the season for Utica … Ended the season with seven assists and one goal for a total of eight points … He led the team with 27 blocks on the year … He was great against Salve Regina as he recorded one assist and a season high of four blocks in the team’s 4-1 victory (12/12/15).

2014-2015: Appeared in all 26 games for the Pioneers…He had five points off of one goal and four assists … He tallied seven blocks on the season… He had two blocks in both games against Manhattanville (1/30/15, 1/31/15).

2013-2014: Played in all 27 games for the Pioneers ... Tallied eight points on the year (four goals, four assists) ... Three of his goals came on the powerplay ... Scored a goal and had an assist in a 4-4 tie with Hamilton College (1/25/14) ... Had one game-winning goal on the year ... Helped the Pioneers keep opponents to one goal or less in seven games ... Named to the 2013-14 ECAC Men's West All-Academic Team.

Junior Hockey: A Buffalo native, Kirisits didn’t travel far from home when he left for Utica College this fall. The 6’4 defenseman recorded eight points and 91 penalty minutes this past year for Brockville. Kirisits was awarded the Donny Wallace Award by the Braves at the end of 2012-13 season. The Donny Wallace Award recognizes the player that exhibits the most hard work, dedication, and commitment over the season.

Personal: Kevin is a 2011 graduate of Nichols High School and is the son of Barb and Bob Kirisits ... He is currently pursuing a degree in Risk Management.
