2015-2016: During his freshman year he played in 27 games for the team … He finished the season as the team leader in goals with ten on the year … He added eight assists to earn him a total of 18 points … He also was tied for second on the team with a plus-minus rating of plus seven … Made some plays defensively as well with his nine blocks … In his career debut as a Pioneer he scored his first career goal and made his first career assist in a win against Castleton (10/30/15) … He had a big game as the team beat Morrisville 6-1 with his two goals and one assist (1/3/16).

Junior Hockey: Dawes played in 37 games for the Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL last season … Posted 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists for the Thunder … Prior to his time with Drayton he played on the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and the Flin Flon Bombers … Played in 59 games for Fort McMurray of the AJHL and posted 48 points … Also spent seven games with the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL last season.
