Utica, NY (2-20-12) – Senior guard George Schultz of the Utica College men’s basketball team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week Monday for the week ending Feb. 19, 2012.
On Saturday, Schultz netted a career-high 18 points to go along with a game-high five steals in his final game as a Pioneer. In 21 minutes of action, he shot 6-of-11 from the floor, including 3-of-7 from downtown and a perfect 3-of-3 from the foul line. This season, Schultz played in 18-of-25 games, averaging 8.9 minutes and 3.0 points per contest.
UC closed out their 2011-12 campaign with a 9-16 overall record, including a 5-9 mark in the Empire 8 Conference.
