Utica University Athletics

Utica, NY- Junior Alysa Russell of the Utica College softball team was named the College’s Female athlete of the week after her performance on opening day in Florida on Sunday.

In the first two games of the season Russell went 4-for-5 with two RBI’s. She had two doubles, two stolen bases, and scored a run. In her last outing against Bethel University she went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s, and a walk.

The Pioneers (1-1) will take the field on Monday, March 16^th as they face the University of Wisconsin River Falls at 5 p.m. on the second day of their Florida trip.
