Utica, NY – Mitchell Marlow of the Utica College men’s track and field team has been selected as one of the UC Co-Male Athletes of the Week for his work at two separate meets over the weekend.
On Friday, Marlow went to the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York City to compete at the NYC DIII Invitational. He placed eighth in the mile run with his second best time of the season, 4:25.13.
Mitchell then returned on Saturday to compete at the Blue and Orange Invitational & Multi, where he came in eighth place in the 3,000-meter run. He ran against a field filled with All-Americans, as he recorded an Empire 8 conference-best time of 8:53.96.
He was also named the Empire 8 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week by the conference office on Monday.
UC will hit the road Friday for day one of the David Hemery Invite up at Boston University. Competition is set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
