UTICA, NY – Amanda Finkle,
Deanna Wiegand (Utica, MI/), and
Courtney Bank (Saginaw, MI/) combined for 12 points as the Utica College women's hockey team dominated host Williams College 7-2 Tuesday night in non-conference action.
UC out shot Williams 45-24 and scored three power play goals as the Pioneers, ranked No. 8 nationally, improved to 9-1-1 on the season.
Finkle struck first for the Pioneers, scoring her eight goal of the season just 3:23 into the first period on an assist from UC leading scorer and senior forward Deana Wiegand.
Williams answered right back less than six minutes later as Anna Condino scored her sixth goal of the season on a power play, beating UC goalie
Stephanie Price (River Rouge, MI/) to tie the game at 1-1. Ashley Wood and Abigail Taylor were each credited with an assist on the game-tying goal.

Stephanie Price (River Rouge, MI/) scored her team-best fourteenth goal of the season, assisted by
Samantha Rowan (Trenton, MI/) and
Jessica Leclerc (Augusta, ME/). The Pioneers skated into the second period with a 2-1 lead.
Wiegand scored what proved to be the game-winner 12:05 into the second period. Finkle and Bank assisted on the goal. Wiegand's goal marked her 11th of the season and she now needs just one point to total 150 career points over the course of four seasons as a Pioneer.
Bank scored with 58 second left in the second to give UC a commanding 4-1 lead. The goal, which was her third of the season, was assisted by Wiegand and Finkle.
Tracy Ferriter scored an even strength unassisted goal 2:16 into the third period to close out the scoring for Williams.
Finkle scored her ninth goal of the season on a power play at 8:37 and
Samantha Rowan (Trenton, MI/) and
Courtney Bills (Penfield, NY/) each tallied late goals to seal the victory for UC. Wiegand, Bank, Price, and senior defenseman
Laura Schnitker (Laramie, WY/) tallied assists on the games final three goals.
Yates stopped 22 shots in her fifth win of the season, while Denise McCulloch made 28 saves for the Eph's, who dropped to 3-6-1 overall on the year.
UC returns to action Saturday against host Elmira College. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m.
