Utica, NY (1-18-12) – The Utica College women's swim and dive team lost, 169-86, to host Nazareth College Saturday at the Shults Center. Junior captain
Michelle Allen (Canton, MA/Canton) led UC as she tallied a third and fourth place finish.
Allen placed third in the 200 meter freestyle with a final time of 2:26.36 and fourth in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:34.35.
On the board, freshman
Sarah Cifonelli (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit) and sophomore
Kara Buttermore (Mountainside, NJ/Governor Livingston) took second and third in event 15 with scores of 177.95 and 120.95 as they totaled seven points for the team.
The Pioneers have dropped two straight and will head to Canton, NY next Saturday for their final regular season meet against St. Lawrence University. The competition is set to begin at 2 p.m. and will be held at the Augsbury Natatorium.
