WEBSTER, NY - The Utica University swim and dive program wrapped up Day 3 of the Empire 8 Championships on Friday night. The women sit in fourth place with 211 points and the men are also in fourth place with 106 points.

Jackson Sorbello placed fifth in heat two of the men's 100 yard butterfly final with a time of 54.51. The women dominated heat two of the women's 200 yard freestyle with
Paige Levine (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) coming in second clocking in at 2:05.70 and
Bailey Simmons (Vernon Center, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) placed third with a time of 2:06.49.
Sara Kuiken (Valley Falls, NY/Tamarac) participated in the same heat and placed tenth clocking in at 2:15.10.

Utica had a trio of competitors in the heat two finals of the women's 100 yard breaststroke.
Kira Seaman (Fort Edward, NY/Hudson Falls) came in sixth with a time of 1:18.03 and was followed by
Ainsley Vyse (Glastobury, CT/Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy) who placed seventh clocking in at 1:18.26.
Kim Serio (Lakeville, NY/Livonia) participated in the same heat and came in ninth place with a time of 1:21.26.

Aimee Oswald (Reading, PA/Exeter Township) placed ninth in heat two of the women's 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.05. Phillip Ross came in fifth in heat two of the men's 100 yard backstroke clocking in at 1:04.78.

Kira Seaman (Fort Edward, NY/Hudson Falls),
Paige Levine (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East), and
Bailey Simmons (Vernon Center, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) made up the women's 400 yard medley relay and placed seventh in heat one with a time of 4:31.85.
