Meredith Tice and the Pioneers look to take four points in the conference this weekend
Utica, NY (11/14/12)- The Utica College women's ice hockey team looks to get back on track this weekend as it takes on SUNY Cortland in ECAC West Conference action.
Last Time Out: The Pioneers are coming off an 0-2 weekend against nationally-ranked No. 4 Elmira College… Junior
Megan Myers (Las Vegas, NV/LA Selects) scored the lone goal for UC on the weekend.
Where We Sit: Utica is currently tied for sixth place, and two points ahead of Cortland in the conference standings after two weekends of play.
Game Info: Friday's game is part of a UC hockey double-header featuring the men and women's teams… The women play at 4 p.m. followed by the men taking on Elmira at 7 p.m. at the Aud… Saturday's contest will be at 3 p.m. at Cortland's Alumni Arena.

Leading the Way: Junior
Megan Myers (Las Vegas, NV/LA Selects) leads the team with three goals and four points through four games so far… Myers led the league in scoring last season on her way to earning first team All-Conference recognition… She has seven goals and six assists in her last seven games spanning back to the end of last season.
Chipping In: Four other Pioneers have tallied at least one goal through the four games this season… Junior
Brittany DelleChiaie (Leominster, MA/The Winchendon School) has a goal and two assists… She was also the leading scorer in the Pioneers' three exhibition games, racking up five goals and one assist… Seniors
Carmen Johnson (Falls Church, VA/Washington Pride) and
Meghan McMahon (Gardner, MA/St. Marks (MA)) as well as freshman
Morgan Reed (Fort Myers, FL/Cushing Academy) have also found the back of the net for UC… Defensively, senior
Mary Fusco (Enfield, CT/Salve Regina University) (three assists) and sophomore
Courtney May (Oxford, MI/Belle Tire) (two assists) have chipped in as well.
Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons are 0-4 (0-2 ECAC West) and are coming off two losses to Elmira two weeks ago… Sophomore Chelsie Hausberger has two of the team's three goals.
Against the Red Dragons: The Pioneers are 16-2 against Cortland dating back to the 2003-2004 season… The last time UC lost was a 5-2 defeat in 2010… Utica swept the Red Dragons last year winning the first game 7-2 and the second 5-0… Sophomore Nicole Keiffer had one goal and four assists, while
Courtney May (Oxford, MI/Belle Tire) (two goals, one assist) and Myers (one goal, three assists) also had impressive outings.
