Geneva, NY (11/3/2012) – The Utica College women's swim & dive team squared off against host William Smith and visiting Cazenovia Saturday at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. The Pioneers lost to the host Herons 62-41 and they also lost to Cazenovia 55-49 in the tri-meet.
UC returns to the pool on Saturday when it travels to Wells College to take on the Express at 1 p.m.
Jordan Hess (Victor, NY/Victor Senior ) was the top finisher in the women's 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:16.75, edging Cazenovia's Mackenzy Nutter by just under three seconds. Senior
Michelle Allen (Canton, MA/Canton) placed second in the women's 200 yard free with a time of 2:08.87, as
Amy Dumary (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) also posted a second place finish in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:38.89. Allen also placed first in the 100 yard free with a time of 58.86, out-racing William Smith's Mimi Mahoney by a half of a second.

Jessica Schumann (Nashua, NH/Nashua South) took home second place in the women's 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:10.61, while junior
Angeliqua Jones (Monroe, NY /Washingtonville ) placed fifth in the women's one meter diving competition with a score of 134.65.
Jessica Schumann (Nashua, NH/Nashua South) took home second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:19.48 and
Vana Cabibbo (Port Chester, NY /Port Chester),
Sarah Parker (Dover, NH/Dover), Gwyneth Joyce and
Carol Conley (Canandaigua, NY/Naples Central) teamed up for a second place finish in the 200 free relay.
Dumary also added a third place finish in the 100 yard butterfly (1:11.92). Senior
Sarah Parker (Dover, NH/Dover) placed fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.33, while
Jordan Hess (Victor, NY/Victor Senior ) placed third in the 500 yard free with a time of 6:08.37.
