Cazenovia, NY (11-16-13) – Freshman
Cori Brouwer (Jenison, MI/Jenison), of the Utica College women's swim team, continued her solid inaugural campaign Saturday at Cazenovia College with three wins despite losing, 145-125, to the host Wildcats.
Utica falls to 2-5 overall on the season and returns to the pool Saturday for its final contest before the Holiday break as it hosts Skidmore College at the UC Pool. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. The Thoroughbreds are currently 1-4 on the season.
Brouwer posted wins in the 500 and 100-yard freestyles as well as the 200-yard butterfly to lead the Pioneers with 27 individual points.
Freshman
Mikey Maxwell (Newport, NY/West Canada) racked up two more victories in the 500 and 100-yard freestyles with times 27:43 and 1:00.79, extending her impressive first-year campaign.
