Utica, NY (11-1-13) - The Utica College women's swim team posted its first win of the season Friday evening beating Cazenovia College, 121-88, while losing to William Snith, 116-72, in the home-opener at the UC Pool. Freshman
Cori Brouwer (Jenison, MI/Jenison) recorded two victories to pace the Pioneers.
Brouwer won the 500 and 1000-yard freestyles clocking times of 5:58.03 and 12:05.97.121-88, while losing 116- 72 to William Smith College at the Utica College Pool.Â
Jessica Schumann (Nashua, NH/Nashua South) placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:17.37 and third in the 200-yard medley with a clock of 2:32.81.
The Pioneers are 1-4 overall on the early season and remain home as they welcome Wells College Saturday Nov. 9. The match is scheduled fpr 1 p.m.
