2013 ECAC North All-Star Teams

UTICA, NY (December 19, 2013) – Junior wide receiver Anthony Acevedo (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) of the Utica College football team was named to the ECAC Football North All-Star Second Team on Wednesday. The award adds another post season accolade to Acevedo's resume, as he was also named the Empire 8 Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year and he was a D3football.com All-Region selection for his efforts this past season. 

The ECAC All-Star teams are selected from a possible 41 institutions from seven conferences, and the voting is completed by the head coaches within the Division III Football North membership.

Acevedo finished the regular season ranked 10th nationally and first in the Empire 8 with an average of 8.0 receptions per game. He was also 17th in the country and first in the Empire 8 with an average of 106.1 receiving yards per game.  He finished the season with 72 catches, 955 yards and six touchdowns.

Acevedo is now the College's all-time leader in career pass receiving yards with 2,484 and he is just ten receptions away from tying the school-record for receptions – he currently has 177 for his career.
