Utica, NY (10/30/14) – The Utica College women's swim and dive team travels to Geneva, NY Saturday afternoon, for a non-conference match up against William Smith College.

COMPETITION DETAILS: The contest will be held at the Bristol Pool in the Bristol Gymnasium. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m. on November 1^st.

LAST TIME OUT: The Pioneers came home with one win at the Hartwick College Quad Meet. UC took down Cazenovia and lost to Hartwick and College of Saint Rose. Alyson Baribault (Plantsville, CT/Southington) placed third in the 100 yard breast stroke with a time of 1:13.70 in her first collegiate meet. Baribault also added a fourth place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:43.86. Mikey Maxwell (Newport, NY/West Canada) added a fifth place finish in the 50 yard freestyle, out of 15 competitors, with a time of 26.96 and she came in third place with a score of 119.30 in the one-meter diving competition.

SCOUTING THE HERONS: William Smith is opening up the season against UC. The Herons are welcoming four freshmen and welcoming back 14 upper classmen. Last season, William Smith compiled and 8-3 overall record while going 2-2 at home.

LAST TIME AGAINST WILLIAM SMITH: The Herons took the win against UC last year on Nov. 11th. William Smith won by a margin of 44 points. Cori Brouwer (Jenison, MI/Jenison) recorded two victories for the Pioneers.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Pioneers will travel Saturday afternoon for a non-conference meet. UC will take on Wells College; the meet is set to start at 1 p.m.
