UTICA, NY – The Utica College men and women swim and dive teams get set to host Cazenovia College on Saturday December 5. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Pioneers hosted Skidmore on Saturday November 21. … The men's team lost 141-134, which dropped their record to 4-3 overall ... The women's team was defeated 137-120 putting their season record at 2-6 so far this year.
 
Standout Female Swimmers: Against Skidmore Alyson Baribault (Plantsville, CT/Southington) placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.98) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:45.30), while sophomore Phoebe King (New Bedford, MA/GNB Voc Tech) had a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (26.61).
 
Standout Male Swimmers: Against Skidmore Raphael Warnon broke the school-record time of 4:30.12 in the 400-yard I.M. with a time of 4:28.43 … Warnon finished first in the 400-yard I.M. and 200-yard backstroke (2:11.31), while placing second in the 100-yard backstroke (57.73) … Freshman Tim Tellekamp had a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.27), the 50-yard freestyle (23.69), and the 100-yard freestyle (50.80) .
 
Scouting Cazenovia: The women's team is 6-4 this year and they are currently on a five meet win streak including a 128.5-105.5 victory of Utica on November 13. … The men's team has lost meets to Hartwick College, Utica College, and Cobleskill.
 
Looking Ahead: The Pioneers are back in the pool on Friday January 15 when they travel to take on the Alfred Saxons … The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m.
