UTICA, NY – Seniors Mike Kata (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) and Spencer Lasker (Commack, NY/Commack) of the Utica College football team competed in the sixth annual D3 Senior Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Saturday. Both Kata and Lasker were members of the North team.

Kata led the Pioneers interior defensive line unit this past season with a career-best 34 tackles in ten games.  He also added 5.5 tackles for a loss and 3.0 sacks, also career-highs. 

Lasker has been a staple on the Pioneers offensive line over the course of his career at UC.  This past season he helped the UC offense average 409.8 yards of total offense per game.  Lasker helped pave the way for the Utica offense that posted 1,336 yards on the ground and 2,762 yards passing and converted 27 touchdowns this season.
