Rochester, NY – The Utica College men and women swim and dive teams fell to Nazareth College on Saturday. The men's team was defeated 165-84 and fell to 6-5 overall on the season. The women's team fell to 3-9 overall after a 142-96 loss.
The women's team was led by
Phoebe King (New Bedford, MA/GNB Voc Tech) who placed first in the 200 freestyle (2:23.03), first in the 100 freestyle (1:06.00), and first in the 100 butterfly (1:13.37).
Grace Gallentine (Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes) also had a first place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 29.89.
The men's team was led by Tim Tellekamp who had a first place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:02.49). Raphael Warnon had two second place finishes in the 100 backstroke (1:03.89) and the 200 backstroke (2:19.38).
The Pioneers return to action when they travel to St. Lawrence on Saturday January 30. The meet is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
