Last Time Out: Utica lost 18-4 in the Empire 8 Conference opener to Ithaca College on Saturday … The Bombers took a 6-1 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back … Ithaca shut out Utica's offense in the second and third quarters while putting up 11 goals in that time to make it 17-1 … UC would outscore the Bombers 3-1 in the final quarter …

Parker Smith (Dexter, NY/General Brown) have played the majority of the minutes in net for the Pioneers … DiOrio has started six games, has 72 saves, a .465 save percentage, and a 15.81 goals against average … Smith has started one game while playing in four games total … He has 13 saves, a .650 save percentage, and a 5.25 goals against average … Smith is third in the conference in goals against average and third in the conference in save percentage … DiOrio is third in the conference in saves per game (12.00) ... He is the fourth goalie in school history to have over 400 career saves (433) and is only eight saves away from passing Bruce Wright 04' for third all-time.
