Buffalo, NY – The Utica College women's swim and dive team competed at the ECC Long Course Invite on Saturday. The Pioneers placed first at the meet, finishing with a total of 521 points.
Phoebe King (New Bedford, MA/GNB Voc Tech) earned three first place finishes individually on the day. King won the 50-meter and 200-meter freestyle events, with times of 28.92 and 2:25.43 respectively. She also placed first in the 100-meter freestyle, with a time of 1:04.77.
Meagan Stanton (Chemung, NY/Waverly),
Daniela Hannah (Dalton, GA/Northwest Whitfield), and
Domenica Risucci (Utica, NY/Whitesboro) finished first, second, and third in the 100-meter backstroke event. Hannah was also able to earn first place in the 400-meter freestyle race with a time of 5:37.20.
Katie Skipp (Albany, NY/Albany) and
Rebecca Merrill (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford) finished first and second in the 100-meter butterfly, with times of 1:23.46 and 1:23.88.
Kelcey Madigan (Waverly, NY/Waverly) placed second in both the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke events.
The Pioneers return to action on January 20th, as they head on the road to compete at Nazareth College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
