CANTON, NY- The Utica College women's swim and dive team fell to host St. Lawrence University 118-84 Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, Utica drops to 7-8 on the year. The Pioneers will return home on Saturday to host Clarkson University in their final home meet of the season. The events kick off at 1 p.m.

Grace Gallentine (Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes) led the Pioneers with a pair of first place finishes. First, Gallentine won the 50-yard freestyle with a final time of 26.11. She followed that up with a first place finish in the 100-yard free as she edged out St. Lawrence's Christina Felchner by .02 of a second, finishing with a time of 57.36.

Senior
Phoebe King (New Bedford, MA/GNB Voc Tech) came away with a big win in the 200-yard freestyle as she finished with a time of 2:01.12, finishing over a second ahead of the second place swimmer.Â

Utica picked 16 points with a sweep of the 200-yard freestyle as
Kelcey Madigan (Waverly, NY/Waverly) finished with a 2:49.19, followed by
Krysta Rehrig (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) (2:54.01) and
Ashley Flint (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) (2:57.56).

The 200-yard freestyle team of
Meagan Stanton (Chemung, NY/Waverly),
Rebecca Merrill (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford),
Domenica Risucci (Utica, NY/Whitesboro), and
Lara McNamara (Yonkers, NY/Maria Regina) also picked up a first place finish for the Pioneers with a time of 1:57.15.
