Clinton, NY – The Utica College men and women's swim and dive team competed against Hamilton College in some dual meet action on the road. The men were defeated 98-78 and the women lost 100-66.<br />

On the women's side,
Rebecca Merrill (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford) swam a first-place time of 1:11.70 on her way to scoring nine team points for Utica in the 100-yard backstroke. In the 100-yard freestyle event,
Ashley Flint (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) placed first, swimming a time of 1:05.30.
Daniela Hannah (Dalton, GA/Northwest Whitfield) won the 100-yard breaststroke race in 1:19.08.<br />

TJ Tellekamp secured two first place finishes in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events, with times of 22.08 and 48.33 to score 18 team points for UC. Coleman Barry took home first with a finishing time of 11:19.33 in the 1,000-yard freestyle race. Diver Matt Patton won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions, as he went uncontested at the meet.<br />

The Pioneers are back in the pool on Saturday for another road meet at Skidmore College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
