Utica, NY - The Utica College women's swim & dive team is set for a very busy weekend, as it will travel to Alfred for a dual meet Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. before heading to Nazareth for another dual meet the following day at the same time.
Last Time Out: The 6-5 Pioneers topped Cazenovia in convincing fashion on Friday, Dec. 6 by a 96-65 decision.
The 200 yard mixed medley relay was the first event, and the squad of Kate Anderson, Michael Leyburn, Lucas DiLego and
Daniela Hannah took home first place with a time of 1:59.75.
Hannah, Anderson, Emily Czerwonka and
Kelly Waryncia notched individual first-place finishes as well. Czerwonka and Waryncia finished first in the 1000 yard freestyle (13:37.37) and 100 yard backstroke (1:16.50), respectively.Â
Hannah and Anderson were the sole Pioneers to tab two first-place finishes. Hannah did so in the 200 yard freestyle (2:19.44) and 500 yard backstroke (6:19.44), while Anderson tabbed first-place finishes in the 50 (28.86) and 100 yard (1:04.31) freestyle.
Up Next: UC will remain on the road next week for a dual meet against St. Lawrence on Saturday at 1 p.m.
